• PAPA JOHN’S PIZZA (3620 ATLANTA HIGHWAY SUITE 100): 81.Inspection Notes: “Employee not wearing effective hair restraint during food preparation. Damaged spatulas stored on utensil hook. Dumpster door left open after last use. Employee cell phone stored on kitchen cutting board.”

• D 92 KOREAN BBQ (1080 BAXTER ST): 78.Inspection Notes: “Observed stored shelf to right of WIC (walk-in cooler) have opened, uncovered bag of wheat flour. Observed storage shelf in office have opened, uncovered bag of wheat noodles. Observed high levels of Quat (quaternary ammonium compounds) sanitizer in bucket behind bar. Observed canister of household pest control stored next to hand wash sink in front service area. No waste receptacle in employee restroom. Employee areas not used causing employee items to be improperly stored. Back door propped open for extended period of time during inspection. Observed multiple alive and dead roaches throughout kitchen.”

• BLIND PIG TAVERN (2440 W BROAD ST): 82.Inspection Notes: “Multiple bulk food items not labeled with common name. Two containers of half & half kept after expiration date. Half & half discarded. Observed bulk corn starch and flour with handle-less scoops. Scoops must have handle when in product containers. Observed multiple plastic bins and metal trays stacked wet. Allow to air-dry fully before stacking. Make table 2 not holding food at 41F or lower. Beer prep cooler 2 has buildup of water in bottom of cooler. Cutting boards heavily marked. Multiple containers observed with cracked lids.”

• NEW RED BOWL ASIAN BISTRO (1935 BARNETT SHOALS RD): 81.Inspection Notes: “Employee using single-bucket method to sanitize dining tables. Employee First Aid medication stored on kitchen shelf above food preparation surface. Utensils stored between uses in room temperature water at rice station. Employee backpack stored on dry goods shelf with food.”

• FLYING BISCUIT CAFE (1180 PRINCE AVE STE B): 87.Inspection Notes: “WIC not maintaining temperature of 41F or below. Ambient temperature at 51.7F. Service operator called during inspection.”

• MOCHINUT (1860 BARNETT SHOALS RD STE 408): 88.Inspection Notes: “Multiple scoops stored in bulk items with handles touching product. Ladle stored in cup of lukewarm (~70F) water in back area near grill. Pitcher full of utensils stored in lukewarm (~70F) at front drink area. Clear bins stacked wet on clean dish shelf over 3-compartment sink. Multiple stacks of to-go containers stacked facing up at back make table, work table over microwave, and front donut table. Must be inverted or covered. Both restrooms marked as “Out of Order” and not available to customers. Mop stored in bottom of mop sink, not hung to dry.”

• GENERAL BEAUREGARDS (164 E CLAYTON ST): 88. Inspection Notes: “Hand wash sinks in bar areas and restrooms lacking proper hand drying provisions. Upstairs and downstairs restrooms not supplied with soap. Missing procedures and proper disinfectant for vomit and diarrheal cleanup. Observed quaternary ammonium sanitizer in 3-compartment sink at improper concentration (0 ppm). Sanitizer test strips not provided at 3-compartment sink. Women’s restrooms not provided with covered receptacle for sanitary napkins.”

• EL PASO TACOS & TEQUILA OF ATHENS (255 W WASHINGTON ST): 80.Inspection Notes: “Employee rinsed wipe cloth in kitchen hand wash sink. Menu marked with asterisks on items not cooked to order and asterisks not marked on burgers that are cooked to order. Bulk flour not labeled as to identity of contents. Observed knife storage between uses in crack between kitchen tables. Food containers stacked wet after washing. Covered trash container not available for use in women’s restroom. Employee backpacks stored in dry goods room in basement rather than in designated location.”

• TAMEZ BARBECUE (1660 W BROAD ST): 83.Inspection Notes: “Observed mold in front ice machine. Observed containers stacked wet on dry dish rack near 3-compartment sink. Observed numerous flies throughout establishment. Front door and windows propped open.”

• SUNDOWN SALOON (50 GAINES SCHOOL RD STE 14): 88.Inspection Notes: “Observed black mold growth inside ice maker. Ladies room not provided with a covered waste receptacle. Floor tiles damaged behind bar. Buildup of grime/debris observed on floors behind bar.”

• BIG CITY BREAD (393 N FINLEY ST A): 87.Inspection Notes: “Wet wipe cloth stored on top surface of make table. Dishware stacked wet after washing. Damaged floor tiles at kitchen mop sink. Mold accumulation on wall at kitchen dish wash station.”

• POPEYES LOUISIANA KITCHEN (130 MCCLUNG RD): 83.Inspection Notes: “Paper towels not provided at dish pit hand wash sink and men’s room hand wash sink.”

• J. BUFFALO WINGS (196 ALPS RD UNIT 4): 86.Inspection Notes: “Buildup of mold in bulk ice machine. Single-service sauce cups used as scoop in beef extract, paprika, MSG, and salt on spice rack. Gaskets frayed on prep freezer and left door of make table. Smoke buildup in kitchen. Have vent hood serviced.”

• BARBERITOS – FIVE POINTS (1739 S LUMPKIN ST): 80.Inspection Notes: “Mold growth observed on ice permit at self-service dispenser at front of house. Can opener in rear kitchen not clean to sight and touch. Beans and rice hot held at front line at temperature less than 135F. Bulk sugar stored in cabinet at front drink station without label identifying contents. Employee wearing nail polish and fingernails extending beyond fingertips during food preparation. Dishware stacked wet after washing.”

Several dry storage seasonings/foods in bulk containers by front entrance of kitchen had scoops with handles touching product.”
